International film, TV, and sales outfit Fortissimo Films has appointed Kees Koot as its Chief Finance Officer. Koot will head Fortissimo's finance department out of its head office in Amsterdam. Koot joins Fortissimo from Dutch distributor A-Film Distribution where he was Finance Manager and helped create the company's Accounting and Royalty Administration Department.

From 2000 to 2003, Koot was Finance Manager at Fine BV, an investment fund for Dutch film projects and from 1996 to 2000 was European Manager of MultiCopy International BV (a subsidiary of US based company Sir Speedy Inc). A fully qualified Accountant, Koot also sat on the Board of Auditors of Slow Food International from 2005-2007.

On announcing the new addition to the team Fortissimo Managing Director Nelleke Driessen commented 'We are very happy with the enormous amount of experience, in film financing and distribution that Kees will bring to the Fortissimo team. His dedication to the film business will be a real asset.'
