Fortissimo Films will work with Fox International Productions (FIP) to oversee sales of select international rights on Isabel Coixet’s Another Me.
Also written by Coixet, the film was produced by FIP, Rainy Day Films and Tornasol Films. It premiered in competition at last November’s Rome International Film Festival and will be released by Fox in the US, Spain, Germany and other select international territories this summer.
Fortissimo will introduce the film to buyers at the upcoming Hong Kong Filmart (March 24-27).
Based on the book Panda Eyes by Catherine MacPhail, the film is a psychological thriller about a teenage girl whose once seemingly perfect life slowly begins to unravel when she suspects that she’s being stalked by a mysterious “double” who is out to steal not just her identity, but also her life.
The cast includes Sophie Turner (Game Of Thrones), Rhys Ifans, Claire Forlani, Gregg Sulkin, Leonor Watling, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Geraldine Chaplin.
Fortissimo chairman, Michael J. Werner, who was formerly Fox’s representative in China, will handle select third party distribution duties for other upcoming FIP films.
On concluding the deal Werner said: “We are pleased to be working with FIP and the other producers of Another Me to represent and bring this very cool and commercial psychological thriller by one of Europe’s great auteur directors to the international marketplace.”
