Fox Star to release second Indian production on Oct 1

The Hindi language film is the big screen adaptation of a popular television series called Khichdi. The award-winning sitcom played on television channel Star Plus for seven years — demonstrating a synergy between Fox and Star’s mandate.

This is Fox Star India’s second local production after My Name Is Khan. Produced by Hats Off Productions, written and directed by Aatish Kapadia, Khichdi-The Movie is a family comedy starring Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak and Girish Sahdev.

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios India said: “There are very few good clean comedy films that audiences can watch with the entire family. Producer Jamnadas Majethia of Hats Off Productions came to us with his vision of taking the humour of the television characters to the big screen. They were best placed to deliver a great comedy film for the entire family.”  This is Hats Off Production’s first commercial film.
