Frank Peijnenburg will leave Benelux-based A-Film Distribution as of Dec 1.
He had held the post of acquisition director for six years.
He will start his new job at the Dutch Film Fund as Head of Screen NL from January 2013.
At A-Film, Erik Engelen will become Director Acquisitions Benelux and will report directly to Managing Director Wilco Wolfers. A-Film said its acquisitions policy wouldn’t be affected.
“The recent line-up of award-winning titles like The Master, Beasts Of The Southern Wild, Zero Dark Thirty, Silver Linings Playbook, Apres Mai and Quartet are a perfect illustration of this continuing strategy. Recent acquisitions in Toronto like Stories We Tell and Frances Ha prove that A-Film also embraces the art house films,” Engelen said.
A-Film Distribution will also continue to invest in local acquisitions.
