Capstone Entertainment Group (CEG) and private equity partners have launched Capstone Pictures to place approximately $18.5m into a trio of films that will shoot in Louisiana and Ontario in 2012-13.

CEG’s associates in the venture are Cassandra Management, George S Goulson LLC, Paul Hapenny, F Miguel Valenti and Charles Forbes.

The Capstone Pictures slate will be announced later this year. CEG will serve as managing member and is a feature development, finance, and production company created by Eric Keith and David Huffman.

CEG’s credits include sci-fi thriller Forget Me Not, which Phase 4 released in 2010 and Makin’ Wookie, a 2012 documentary about a Star Wars musical parody.
