Kate Gardiner, currently Marketing Manager at Twentieth Century Fox UK, has been promoted to Head of Searchlight UK.
She begins the new post immediately and will report to Ian George, Fox’s UK Managing Director. Gardiner will continue to work closely with Rebecca Kearey, SVP of Searchlight International, who is based in Los Angeles.
Gardiner joined Fox UK in September 2006 and has worked on campaigns for films including The Last King of Scotland, My Name Is Khan and Juno.
Before joining Fox, she was a Marketing Executive at BBC Films.
“Kate is an exceptionally talented marketing executive and has been responsible for the campaigns of some of our most successful films in the UK. Her new role will allow her to increase her scope of responsibility within the Fox UK theatrical group,” commented George.
Fox Searchlight’s forthcoming slate in the UK includes Cyrus, Never Let Me Go, Black Swan and The Descendents.
