Gaumont also announces staffing changes to sales team.

Here at the AFM, Gaumont is launching pre-sales $11 million comedy Untouchable. Directed by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, the film stars Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy and comes billed as a comedy in the spirit of Heartbreaker and Welcome To The Sticks.

The film is about a rich old man who hires an unusual young assistant.

Shooting begins later this month with delivery due in autumn 2011.

Meanwhile, another high-profile new Gaumont project, Olivier Marchal’s new feature A Gang Story, is also being pre-sold in the market. The $22 million film, which started shooting in September and is due for delivery in late 2011, stars Gerard Lanvin and Tcheky Karyo and is billed as a “an ambitious and heartbreaking” gangster thriller in the vein of Mesrine and The French
Connection.
Gaumont will be handling the French theatrical release.

Here at the AFM, Gaumont is also giving a market premiere to Fred Cavaye’s action thriller Point Blank,
starring Gilles Lellouche, Roschdy Zem, Elena Anaya and Gerard Lanvin.

Gaumont now has a new sales team in place. Cecile Gaget had been promoted to Head of International
Sales. Yohann Comte, formerly of EuropaCorp and Roissy, has joined as VP International Sales and - along with
Virginie Royer, already in house - will be in charge of Eastern Europe, French-speaking territories and
Gaumont library sales in key territories.
