Germany's ProSiebenSat.1 Group and Disney-ABC International Television have closed their first deal for Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVoD) feature films for ProSiebenSat.1's video online store maxdome, licensing such library titles as Toy Story 2, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, the first dealof its kind in Germany.
In addition, they concluded a transactional VoD agreement for smash hit current and library titles including Ratatouille and Enchanted, and new seasons of ABC Studios series like Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. These agreements build on the companies' existing successful SVOD partnership for these series.
At the same time, the Group has extended its multi-year output deal with Disney for German free-TV rights for feature films (including Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Wild Hogs), network series (from Private Practice to Dirty Sexy Money) and such Disney Channel Original Movies as Camp Rock and The Cheetah Girls: One World.
