Norwegian documentary Giant has walked off with most of the top prizesat the NorwegianInternational Film Festival in Haugesund, which wrapped today (August 26).
Arne B. Rostad and Hallvard Bræin's film aboutNorwegian artist Erik Bye took home the top Andreas Award as well as theaudience and local critics prize.
Bye, who died last October at 78 years old, wasan acclaimed poet, philosopher and actor with a strong rebellious streak. Hewas born in New York in 1926.
The film-makers followed Bye for three and ahalf years and the result is the moving documentary Giant, distributed locally by Scanbox.
Cristi Puius The Death of Mr. Lazarescu scored the prize for best international film.
