India's National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), in collaboration with the Directorate of Film Festivals, will conduct a script development workshop from Nov 18-24 in Goa during the International Film Festival of India.
The Indian Script Development Workshop (ISDW) 2007 is designed for Indian scriptwriters who have finalized their scripts for a theatrical feature film. The aim of this workshop is to develop seven commercially viable scripts aimed for the international market. A selected team of seven professionals from the international film industry will be available for consultation and interaction with the selected seven scriptwriters.
The detailed analysis of the scripts will focus on different aspects of the project such as structure, characters, plot development, dialogue, and so forth with the revised version of the script requiring to be submitted to NFDC within six months after the workshop. NFDC will be a co-owner of these scripts and will have first right of refusal on these scripts for production purposes.
Submissions must be sent to NFDC before Aug25 in the English language and the final selection will be announced by the end of October 2007.
