The films include hit Olympic drama Forever The Moment (aka Women's Handball Team), which was produced by MK Pictures and locally distributed by Sidus; and two films that were both produced and distributed by Sidus - colonial period drama Radio Days and romantic comedy Miss Gold Digger.
All three titles will be making their international premieres at the upcoming European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin. Forever The Moment is currently on release in Korea and had racked up more than three million admissions as of Feb 3.
Sidus recently started self-distributing its films locally after years of alternating through major investor-distributors such as CJ Entertainment and Showbox Mediaplex, which both have packed slates.
In 2006, MK Pictures also started self-distributing its films - including romantic comedy Bewitching Attraction and action drama Bloody Tie - but recently gave Forever The Moment to Sidus in what is claimed to be a one-off deal.
The two-year deal between Golden Network and Sidus includes seven pictures in the first year and a first-look option on further projects in the second year.
'Golden Network has a good understanding of Korean films, and all things considered, they offer the best partnership for Sidus FNH,' said Young Eun Park, International Business Coordinator and Manager at Sidus' distribution department.
