Here Networks has completed its merger deal with PlanetOut Inc. The new public company will be called Here Media.

Here Media is led by Stephen P Jarchow as chairman and Paul Colichman as CEO.

PlanetOut shareholders voted to approve the merger on June 10.

Here Media becomes a global leader in news and entertainment for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. The company works across TV, online, print and film.

Brands include film studio Here Studios, distributor Here Films, and TV network here! Networks.

Jarchow and Colichman, along with current PlanetOut chairman Phil Kleweno, will serve as the initial board of directors of Here Media.

Here has previously worked with films including Eleven Minutes, Shelter, and The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela.
