High Point Films has taken on world rights outside of Benelux to Pieter van Hees' debut feature Left Bank.
The psychological horror film, in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Wicker Man, is about a young athlete who moves into her new boyfriend's disturbing apartment block.
The film showed in Edinburgh, Sitges, and Austin Fantastic Film Festival.
'We have a strong tradition of handling horror films of note, including classics like George A Romero's classic Dawn of the Dead,' High Point's Fitzgerald said. 'Left Bank is a distinctive and thoroughly effective chiller that is an excellent addition to this distinguished pedigree. Also, with a history in championing burgeoning talent, we are proud to be representing the first feature film of someone as clearly worth looking out for as Pieter van Mees.'
Producers are Bert Hamelinck, Frank van Passel and Kato Maes for Belgium-based Caviar; Left Bank marks the third title High Point is handling for the company.
High Point Films will be launching Left Bank at the AFM in November.
