Jean Simmons stars with James Wilby and Jamie Dornan.
Nick O'Hagan (Daylight Robbery) produced for Giant Films.
The film is set in England's Norfolk coast during a hazy summer in the late 1960s. A man visiting his elderly mother is disturbed by her friendship with a young loner.
'Shadows in the Sun is a moving, beautifully realized and ultimately redemptive film about family, memory, forgiveness and love,' High Point head Carey Fitzgerald says. 'These themes resonate universally, and are handled with a beautiful and assured lyricism that is all David Rocksavage's own. We are delighted to be working with Nick O'Hagan on this film.'
Ivan MacTaggart is executive producing.
High Point's slate in Cannes also includes Nothing To Lose, Skin, Kings, and newly added feature in pre-production The Race to star Colm Meaney and Susan Lynch.
