Holly Hunter has been named president of this year’s Stockholm International Film Festival.
Hunter will preside over deliberations for the Bronze Horse awarded to first and second time directors and will also participate in a Face2Face session with the audience.
“I’m especially excited that this year’s festival is celebrating the extraordinary achievements of film-maker Gus Van Sant,” Hunter said. “I look forward to meeting my fellow jury members and having the privilege of seeing and discussing a selection of world-class movies with them.”
Prior recipients of the Bronze Horse include Quentin Tarantino, Lars von Trier, Courtney Hunt and Yorgos Lanthimos.
The 21st Stockholm International Film Festival will take place from November 17-28.
