AHong Kong man has become the first person to be jailed for passing on film contentover the controversial BitTorrent (BT) online file-sharingservice.

Chan Nai-ming, 38, who used thealias "Big Crook", was sentenced to three months in jail by a Hong Kong magistrate after conviction on three charges of attempting todistribute Hollywood films - Daredevil, Miss Congeniality and RedPlanet - using BT file-sharing technology.
