From officer to knight.

Congrats to Eva Zaoralova, who is celebrating her 80th birthday by receiving the second grade of the Order of Arts and Letters from the French Ambassador in Prague. The journalist and artistic consultant of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival received the first order, knight, back in 2002 and now is ‘upgraded’ to officer.

Zaoralová said: “I am extremely gratified to have been honoured with all these wonderful distinctions, however, I would not have received them had I not been given the opportunity years ago to assist Jiří Bartoška in putting the Karlovy Vary festival back on its feet.”
