Although released on an impressing 32 copies Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Volume 1 failed to make a huge impact at the Hungarian box office. Although opening in the top spot, it took less in admissions than Bad Boys II on its second weekend, although it out-grossed the cop comedy in terms of box office revenues.
The Titanic Film Festival probably kept many cinemagoers away from the Kill Bill opening weekend, so Tarantino's film can expect to fare pretty well next weekend at the box office.
Down With Love, released on 15 copies, had a so-so start with just less than 10,000 admissions. Failing to make it into the top ten were Joel Schumacher's Veronica Guerin and local release, Gyorgy Szomjas' Berlinale participant, Vagabond.
