Nothing stood a chance when the third episode of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy invaded Hungarian cinemas last weekend. Following the previews and its opening weekend, The Return Of The King has already passed the two hundred thousand admissions mark and it is likely that records will be broken in the upcoming weeks.
Although next weekend will be the strongest of the month in the terms of new releases with Seabiscuit, The Russian Ark, Mambo Italiano, Due amici, Mona Lisa Smile, Baltasar Kormakur's The Sea, Tais-toi! and a brand new Hungarian thriller all hitting the cinemas at the same time.
Italian-Turkish director Ferzan Ozpetek's festival favourite La Finestra di Fronte had a surprisingly strong start with over twenty-seven hundred admissions on a mere three copies.
