Hungary's new distributor, Intersonic which debuted with the release of Snowboarder and with the help of well established Mokep, failed to pick the right film to make an impact on the audiences, Snowboarder didn't even attract one thousand admissions.
Meanwhile SPI's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre achieved a decent opening for a horror film with its nearly 6,000 admissions while the third LOTR episode is still producing nearly 20,000 admissions in the sixth week of its release.
Gabor Herendi's historical comedy, Hungarian Vagabond is clearly heading for the success of his previous hit A Kind Of America and after reaching nearly 200,000 admissions after only two weeks, the half a million mark doesn't seem such an unrealistic goal anymore.
