John Hurt will join the cast of theIrish/UK/German co-production Short Order, currently in the final days of the German leg ofthe shoot which is due to wrap in Hamburg on November 5.

Hurt joins Emma de Caunes, RadeSerbedzija, Cosma Shiva Hagen, Vanessa Redgrave, and Jack Dee in the story oflife, by turns realistic and fantastic, centred on a fast food eatery.

Short Order was developed at Igloo Films inDublin by writer/director Anthony Byrne and producer Brian Willis and is backedby the Irish Film Board, the Hamburg Film Fund, Eurimages, and Irish and UK taxbreaks. Co-producers for Germany and the UK are Peter Stockhausen and ChristineAlderson respectively.
