Lasse Hyyti is leaving his post as managing director of Finnish distributor FS Film Oy.
The company's current VP of marketing and head of theatrical distribution, Antti Toiviainen, will be promoted to Managing Director as of April 16.
Hyyti, who has been with FS Film for eight years, will pursue a career outside the film industry when he departs April 15. He will continue as a board member and external consulatant to the company.
Timo Räisänen will join the company as marketing director, also in charge of theatrical distribution, as of March 26. He is currently programming manager at Finnkino and previously worked at Nordisk Film.
FS Film, which has 32 employees, is fully owned by AB Svensk Filmindustri.
'My eight years at FS Film have been extremely rewarding and it was a difficult decision to step out. I am glad that I can pass my chair to Antti, to whom I give all my support. I will miss all the great people within FS Film as well as our colleagues in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Part of my heart will always stay with FS Film,' Hyyti said.
'Lasse is leaving FS Film in great shape both financially and spiritually and I wish him all the best in his new career,' added FS Film chairman and AB Svensk president Rasmus Ramstad. I am confident that FS Film will continue the success under Antti's leadership and I am happy to welcome Timo to further strengthen FS Film's management team.'
