It was the teenagers' weekend at the box-office in Iceland, where they managed to sink Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean from the number one spot with the third instalment of the American Pie-franchise American Pie: The Wedding.
With an impressive 1,604 admissions screen average on its four prints, Samfilm's release was only matched by Myndform's two print release of Freddy Vs. Jason, which managed 1,013, only enough for a fourth spot after Pirates and Piglet's Big Movie. The latter was also a new release from Samfilm.
Overall, the chart had many new entries including serious UK product like Sweet Sixteen, The Magdalene Sisters, All Or Nothing and Bloody Sunday. These, however, played just one screen each and were no match for the teenage magnets serving up equal portions of comedy, sex and blood.
