The festival is set to run from Nov 14-25 in Amsterdam and features a number of key works from the National Film Board Of Canada (NFB).
The selection includes Yung Chang’s The Fruit Hunters, Peter Mettler’s The End Of Time and Daniel Léger’s Inseparable.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of DocLab, IDFA’s programme for showcasing new forms of digital storytelling that expand the documentary genre beyond linear filmmaking.
On Nov 16 the festival will pay tribute to the NFB’s role in interactive documentary with an evening of music and cinema at the De Brakke Grond Arts Centre.
Three of the NFB’s interactive projects – the new release Here At Home, A Journal Of Insomina and the webdoc Bear 71 – will combine for a 90-minute presentation.
