The package also includes Shivajee Chandrabhushan's Frozen and Irfan Kamal's Thanks Maa. Produced by India's Quantum Films, Thanks Maa is a story about a group of Mumbai street kids attempting to track down the mother of an abandoned baby. The film is attracting interest due to its Slumdog-style setting and young cast.
Meanwhile, iDream has also recently sold Tahaan to NPO for the Netherlands, SVT for Sweden, Ster Kinekor for South Africa, Civite Films for Spain and Demiurg for Slovenia. The film, which premiered at Pusan last year, has had a wide festival run taking in the Stockholm, Cairo, Seattle, Rome and Fribourg fests.
idream has also recently picked up international rights to Joseph Mathew's English-language drama Bombay Summer, starring Tannishtha Chatterjee who recently starred in Brick Lane.
