The 9th annual event runs from Apr 12-17 at the Arclight in Hollywood and will also see the return of the Rhythm Village dancers and musicians.
Seminar Day on Apr 16 will feature three panels exploring various aspects of the Indian cinema industry.
Screen International US editor Jeremy Kay will moderate a panel on the new wave of Indian filmmaking, while the two other talks will cover Hollywood’s evolving relationship with India and look at opportunities and challenges for South Asian American filmmakers and talent.
“IFFLA is predicated on creating a well rounded experience for our audience and our filmmakers,” IFFLA chair of the board Arnold Peter said. “It is important to address current issues that arise out of the growth of the Indian film industry not only as a major content provider, but also as a future trend-setter.
“This year’s Seminar Day addresses those factors and we are fortunate to have some of the industry’s key experts to foster the discussions.”
