Igor Sterk’s 9:06 won nine Vesna awards at the 12th Slovenian Film Festival in Portoroz (October 1-3), including best film, director and screenplay.
The film, which follows a police inspector whose investigation turns into an obsession, also took best leading actor award for Igor Samobor, best supporting actress for Silva Cusin, best editing for Petar Markovic, best sound for Julij Zornik, best cinematography for Simon Tansek and best music for Jure Ferina and Pavao Miholjevic.
Polona Juh won the award for best leading actress for her role in Miran Zupancic’s Couples At Stake, while Primoz Prinat received best supporting actor for his roles in Damjan Kozole’s Slovenian Girl, Miha Hocevar’s Distortion and Petar Paic’s short E-pigs.
The best production design award was given to Miha Knific for The Cloud Catcher, which also won best short film. Marta Frelih’s Alma M. Karlin: The Odyssey Of A Lonely Woman won best documentary and Boris Dolenc’s Thumbelina took best animated film.
The film critics’ jury voted for Martin Turk’s Room 408.
