Marvel Studios’ summer curtain raiser Iron Man 3 is fast becoming a behemoth after adding more than $110m worldwide on Friday – of which $68.3m came from the North American opening day – to reach $456.6m.

Walt Disney Studios reported on Saturday [4] that the superhero adaptation had raced to $388.3m internationally and stood at approximately $40m in China after three days through DMG Entertainment.

South Korea has generated $31.8m and the UK $30.2m. A full report will follow on Sunday.
