The RLJ Entertainment subsidiary has acquired US rights from Content Media to the thriller starring John Cusack and Malin Akerman.

Kasper Barfoed directed The Numbers Station from F Scott Frazier’s screenplay about a disgraced Black Ops agent tasked to protect a CIA code operator.

Matador Pictures, Picadilly Pictures and Blue Lake, the fund managed by Echo Lake Entertainment and Blue Ice Capital Group, financed the film.

Image Entertainment chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley negotiated the deal and the distributor plans a first quarter 2013 release.
