Film Bazaar, organised by India’s National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), is introducing a Producers’ Lab at this year’s edition of the market.
The three-day event (Nov 21-23) will encompass workshops, case studies and one-on-one meetings conducted by local and international producers, sales agents, buyers and festival directors and programmers.
Topics to be discussed include the role of a producer; the development process of a film; budgeting; international co-productions; film financing; and the importance of film festivals and markets.
Set to take place during this year’s Film Bazaar (Nov 20-24), the event is inviting applications from Indian producers who have been credited as producer, line producer, executive producer or supervising producer on at least one feature film, short or documentary. The submission deadline is October 5, 2013.
Film Bazaar, which takes place at the Marriott Resort in the Indian state of Goa, also features a co-production market, Screenwriters’ Lab, Work-in-Progress Lab, industry screenings, NFDC Knowledge Series and the Primexchange workshop to encourage collaboration between Indian and European producers.
