200 new indie titles available on new site, IndiePix Unlimited
Online indie distributor and retail service IndiePix has today [April 19] launched a paid subscription VOD service.
From today, IndiePix Unlimited offers 200 new titles, but will grow to 500 by early summer. The service costs $7.95 per month and is globally available.
According to a statement released by IndiePix, the site will feature online premieres for recent Venice, Cannes, Tribeca, and Sundance award winning films and filmmakers.
Current IndiePix Unlimited titles include Cannes winner Samson and Delilah and BAFTA-nominated Skeletons.
Bob Alexander, President of IndiePix, said: “As a third party store, our shelves are open to individual filmmakers, especially those seeking an alternative for their ‘do-it-yourself’ distribution projects. We are also pleased to be working with prominent digital film rights aggregators and with other independent film labels directly.”
“In addition,” Alexander continued, “we are in discussions with other independent film studios and producers that hold digital rights about joining us.”
“The quality and breadth of our content will be second to none,” Alexander claimed, “as rights holders - individual and corporate, domestic and international - discover the value to them of our platform.”
Announcements of participating independent film distributors and independent film content aggregators will be made over the coming weeks.
New York-based IndiePix has a catalogue of more than 4,000 titles. The company was founded in 2004.
