UK based Ingenious Ventures has launched its latest EIS fund, which aims to invest in up and coming businesses across the creative and media industries.
The Media Opportunities Fund has a target raise of £20 million and will give investors the opportunity to invest in up and coming companies in the creative and media sector.
It will comprise of two separate asset classes; high growth companies with the potential for significant equity returns and companies that can demonstrate a “more predictable level of profitability through significant contracted revenues.”
As an approved EIS fund, investors would be eligible for 30% tax relief this year on investments of up to £500,000, with a minimum investment of £10,000.
Ingenious has invested £6bn in the creative industries since it launched in 1998.
Patrick Bradley, CEO of Ingenious Ventures, said: “The sector remains an important, vibrant asset within the UK economy and we are seeing a raft of exciting companies come through across the spectrum of design, fashion, live events, TV and in the digital space.”
