Gianni Nunnari has been named the 2013 Ischia Global Film & Music Festival’s Producer Of The Year.
The honour is further good news for Nunnari, who is clear of litigation after recently settling a string of lawsuits against Vittorio Cecchi Gori and others.
His producer and executive producer credits include 300, Immortals, Se7en and The Departed as well as the upcoming 300: Rise Of An Empire.
The Producer Of The Year award will be presented during opening night on Jul 14 in Naples and places Nunnari in the company of previous recipients such as Jeremy Thomas, Mark Canton, Lawrence Bender and Nicolas Chartier.
Iginio Straffi, CEO of Italian animation company Rainbow Group, will collect the Studio Of The Year Award on behalf of the company he founded.
Straffi was previously named Italian Filmmaker Of The Year by the festival and received the award from Christoph Waltz at Cannes in May.
Producers Arturo Paglia and Isabella Cocuzza will be honoured for The Best Offer directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. Ischia runs from Jul 14-21.
