BVI's The Incrediblesstormed into the Italian box office at number one last weekend, taking amassive $4,962,920 from 524 screens for an excellent average of $9,471 perscreen.
Eagle Pictures's thriller Twistedcame in second, grossing $1,305,865 from 253 screens. However, hot on its heelswas 2001's Donnie Darko, which was released for the first time in Italyby young distributor Moviemax, and took a solid $776,299 from 159 screens.
Eagle's Exorcist: TheBeginning tumbled a drastic 74% in its third week, although the film, whichshot in Rome, has grossed a strong $7,258,250 since its release.
Meanwhile, 20th Fox's RobertRedford vehicle, The Clearing, flopped, earning just $128, 050.
The box office's onlyItalian film, 01 Distribution's Occhi Di Cristallo, also disappointed.The thriller directed by Eros Puglielli grossed just $220,199 from 145 screens.
