Italy’s Eagle Pictures has added six films to its slate of commercial but eclectic fare.
The company has continued its strong relationship with Summit Entertainment, by picking up:
- Astro Boy, a 2D animation by Imagi Studios and directed by David Bowers. It is voiced by Nicolas Cage, Donald Sutherland and Freddie Highmore in the title role.
- Fair Game by Doug Lyman, which is currently shooting. It is CIA action thriller based on the Valerie Plame saga produced by River Road and starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. The film be released in 2010 .
- Remember Me directed by Robert Coulter and starring Robert Pattinson.
Eagle has also struck its first deals with Studio Canal at this year’s Cannes market signing deals on another three titles:
- Cotton – a frightening exorcism themed film produced by Inglorious Bastards actor Eli Roth. It is currently in production.
- Chloe, the new Atom Egoyan sexy thriller in the vein of fatal attraction starring Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried, which is currently in post-production.
- Around the World in Fifty Years, the 3D animation directed by Ben Stassen (Fly Me To The Moon) and produced by Nwave.
