Jack The Giant Slayer grossed around $2.3m from seven opening days in select Asian markets to rank number one in six out of seven through Warner Bros Pictures International.
The film, starring Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson and Ewan McGregor, opened day-and-date with North America in South Korea on $761,000 from 470 screens nationwide to rank as the top US release in the market behind local titles New World and Micable In Cell No. 7.
Every other market produced a number one result led by Taiwan on $440,000 from 102, Malaysia on $311,000 from 173, Thailand on $290,000 from 183 screens and the Philippines on $192,000 from 173.
Singapore generated $143,000 from 68 screens and Hong Kong delivered $114,000 from 38.
