Jack Black, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas will attend the Las Vegas convention to present the DreamWorks Animation CEO with his honour at a dinner on Apr 25. 

The acting trio have starred in the studio’s Shrek and Kung Fu properties, which have helped gross more than $3.5bn worldwide for DreamWorks Animation. Upcoming release Madagascar 3 is tipped to play out of competition in Cannes next month.

The Pioneer award recognises industry leaders and has gone in the past to such luminaries as David Linde, Sherry Lansing, Dick Cook and Darryl Zanuck.

  • Lionsgate will preview What To Expect When You’re Expecting on Apr 24 ahead of the May 18 US release. The comedy ensemble includes Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford, Chris Rock and Rodrigo Santoro. CinemaCon is scheduled to run from Apr 23-26.
