Universal Pictures has prevailed in a bidding war for US rights to the all-female spy thriller 355.
CAA Media Finance brokered the deal and also represents China rights. FilmNation handles international sales and hosted a buyers presentation last week with Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing, and Lupita Nyong’o.
Theresa Rebeck is writing the screenplay based on an original idea by Chastain, and Simon Kinberg will direct.
Freckle Films’ Chastain and Kelly Carmichael will produce alongside Kinberg via Kinberg Genre.
