Jann Turner has started a South African shoot for White Wedding, her feature film debut.

The romantic road movie is shooting across South Africa from Johannesburg and Durban to the Eastern Cape and Cape Town.

Jodie Whittaker, who starred in Venus and St Trinian's, takes the lead opposite South African veterans Kenneth Nkosi and Rapulana Seiphemo, who both appeared in Oscar winner Tsotsi.

The is about groom-to-be Elvisand his best man Tumi who get lost on a road trip to the wedding and meet a young English doctor who recently cancelled her own wedding.

NYU Film School graduate Turner is an author and TV director of South African soap opera Isidingo.

She collaborated on the screenplay with Nkosi and Seiphemo.

Stepping Stone Pictures is producing, and novelist Ken Follett is serving as executive producer.
