The 46th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will present Judi Dench with its Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema.

Dench’s film credits include Mrs Brown, Shakespeare In Love, Casino Royale, Chocolat, Mrs Henderson Presents and Notes On A Scandal. Her recent films include Cary Fukunaga’s Jane Eyre, Simon Curtis’ My Week With Marilyn, and John Madden’s The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

KVIFF runs July 1-9. As previously reported, Hungarian filmmaker István Szabó will preside over the international jury.
