Jump Street Films has acquired Australia/New Zealand rights from Magnolia International to Conor McPherson’s Tribeca hit The Eclipse.

Ciaran Hinds won the best actor prize at Tribeca and stars as a grieving widower haunted by nightmares alongside Aidan Quinn and Iben Hjejle.

Jamie Bialkower, Jump Street director, said: “It’s rare that something truly original arrives on screen in today’s climate, but this film is simply like nothing else out there.”

Jump Street Films, in conjunction with Sharmill Films, also recently acquired Costa-Gavras’ Eden Is West from Pathe and will release in August.
