Louisa Krause from Marcy Martha May Marlene stars and Mike Roberts wrote the screenplay. The film is set to receive its world premiere in Austin on Saturday (Mar 10).
The producer roster features Tom Davis, Ethan Palmer, Luke Meyer, and Andrew D Corkin. Susan Shopmaker and Laura Heberton served as executive producers. Ed Vassallo served as co-producer.
“We always look to work with wonderfully distinctive producers like Tom, Luke, Andrew and Susan, and in this case, with a film to seriously shock, we’re thrilled to be doing just that,” K5 Founder Oliver Simon said.
“King Kelly is in your face and out of control, but it is equally super smart, at times poignant and also very funny,” K5 sales and marketing partner Carl Clifton added.
“We can’t think of a better partner to be helping us take this pretty intense movie out to international audiences,” Seethink Films’ Davis said.
With Cannes on the horizon, the K5 slate includes a first look at Mukunda Michael Dewil’s Paul Walker thriller Vehicle 19, Bille August’s romantic thriller Night Train To Lisbon with Jeremy Irons, Melanie Laurent and Jack Huston and Very Good Girls with Elizabeth Olsen and Dakota Fanning.
