Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment has acquired UK rights to The Heavy from London-based Parkland Pictures, the sales, distribution and production company.

The Heavy stars Gary Stretch, Vinnie Jones and Christopher Lee and will be released in UK cinemas on the 31st July.

The story is about Mitchell ‘Boots’ Mason who is forced to act as “The Heavy” for wealthy businessmanb, Anawalt, and his assistant Rubin, upon his release from prison.

Betrayed by his brother and condemned to prison, Mason has to earn his freedom by doing one last shady job. Unexpectedly he has the opportunity to save his brother’s life.
