High Point Films has sold UK and Irish rights for Dutch film Winter in Wartime to London-based Kaleidoscope.
Kaleidescope, which launched at the end of 2008, will release the film across 20 screens next year.
Els Vandevorst of Isabella Films and San Fu Maltha of Fu Works produced the film, which was a hit at the Dutch box office. It was released by Benelux Films Distribution and took more than $8m (€5.9m) over six weeks.
Multi award winner, Martin Koolhoven (Bonkers), directed the film, adapted from the classic novel, Oorlogswinter by Jan Terlouw.
Kaleidescope’s film catalogue includes titles such as Trailer Park of Terror, Heavy Load, The End, Little Ashes and Pontypool.
High Point Films is the theatrical sales division of High Point Media Group.
