The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has announced that its two Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema in 2008 will go to Dusan Hanak and Juraj Jakubisko.
Both of the legends turn 70 in April. Both are natives of Slovakia and well regarded for their decades of work in the Czech film industry.
Each will present films - including Hanak's Rose Tinted Dreams (1976) and Pictures Of The Old World (1972) and the premiere of Jakubisko's current film Bathory.
KVIFF will celebrate its 43rd edition this year, running July 4-12.
