Paris-based sales company Katapult Film Sales has acquired international rights to the comedy Women In Trouble by writer-director Sebastian Gutierrez.
The film, which stars Carla Gugino, Simon Baker and Josh Brolin, follows one day in the lives of ten seemingly disparate women, including a porn star, a psychiatrist and a bartender, living in Los Angeles. CAA is handling North American rights.
Katapult’s Cannes slate also includes Martin Scorsese’s documentary American Boy about his friend, former roommate and raconteur Steven Prince.
The film will be presented alongside American Prince, Tommy Pallotta’s recently completed film that sees him and writer-director Richard Linklater visit Prince for an update on his life.
