Misfits producer Kate Crowe is joining Scott Free UK as executive producer of TV.
Crowe will report directly to Scott Free’s UK head Liza Marshall and manage a number of productions and developments for the UK branch of the company.
Marshall said: “As we expand our slate over the coming months and move projects into production, she will be a valuable and highly experienced asset.”
Crowe has previously produced comedy and drama, as well as script editing and working in development.
Her credits include BBC drama Cutting It and the pilot of Channel 4 sitcom Plus One, which went to series.
The UK branch of Tony and Ridley Scott’s company is currently developing an adaptation of Stephen Kleman’s novel Pigeon English as a co-production with Tandem Productions for the BBC.
The book tells the story of a young boy who has recently arrived in the UK from Ghana to live on a council estate in London with his mother and sister.
Steve Watson’s debut novel Before I Go To Sleep, which will be written and directed by Rowan Joffé, is also in development. Scott Free UK has also secured the option to adapt Kate Mosse bestseller Labyrinth.
