Reeves-produced documentary about digital and film stock will open the Plus Camerimage festival in Poland.
Plus Camerimage (Nov 21- Dec 1), the festival dedicated to the art of cinematography, will open with Keanu Reeves-produced documentary Side by Side.
The film sees writer-director Chirs Keneally and producer Keanu Reeves interview leading industry about the pros and cons of 35mm vs digital, the decline of film stock and personal shooting preferences.
Interviewees include Wally Pfister, Vittorio Storaro, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher, David Lynch, George Lucas, James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, Walter Murch and Anne V. Coates.
“We are truly excited that Side by Side will open the 20th edition of our festival and that the film’s creators – director Chris Kenneally, cinematographer Chris Cassidy, producer Justin Szlasa, and producer/host Keanu Reeves – will come to Bydgoszcz to talk to our audiences about it,” commented festival director Marek Żydowicz. “It will be a very special opening evening.”
This year, David Lynch will receive the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Directing.
