Johnny Kevorkian will direct psychological thriller Georgie, written by Craig Rutherford.
Gerry Maguire of Pins & Needles Media produces.
The story is described as a Polanski-esque thriller about a teenager in contemporary suburban England who is traumatised by a violent death in her youth.
Maguire will be in Cannes speaking to financiers and sales agents about Georgie, as well as the rest of the Pins & Needles slate.
The project is being readied for a late summer 2015 shoot; the script is now out to cast.
Kevorkian’s debut feature The Disappeared, a psychological horror thriller set on a London council estate and starring Harry Treadaway, Tom Felton, Greg Wise and Alex Jennings, was released by IFC in the US and Soda Pictures in the UK.
Christina Pickworth at Imagine Talent represents Kevorkian.
