Leading Korean investor/distributor CJ Entertainment has announced that head of International Business, David Shin, has stepped down.

Former head of Domestic Marketing and Distribution, Kathy Kim, will take his place with an expanded role as head of International Business and Worldwide Distribution.

Kim will continue to oversee distribution of foreign and domestic films in Korea, including the Paramount titles that CJ exclusively distributes in the territory, while overseeing the whole of CJ's international sales and strategy - including co-production and overseas distribution.

Former head of domestic production and investment, Joon H. Choi, will now handle domestic film marketing & PR in addition to his former purvey.

Before she joined CJ, Kim was managing director of Art Service, a set production and PR firm. Her background includes experience as a senior executive at Sony Pictures Korea and as a chief editor and producer at WNYE-TV, a PBS affiliate in New York City.

Formerly head of international business, Shin is leaving CJ to run his own production company Millex Pictures, based in Singapore. He has signed a first-look deal with CJ.

Shin's background includes experience as a senior vice president in charge of commercial development at ESPN Star Sports in Singapore.
